Pet Policy

At Makanas Beach Bungalows, we may allow small dogs on a case-by-case basis, with prior approval.

Our goal is to maintain a peaceful and comfortable environment for all guests while accommodating responsible pet owners whenever possible.

Eligibility & Approval

• Only small dogs (under 25 lbs / 11 kg) may be considered.

• All pet stays must be requested and confirmed in advance of arrival.

• Approval is granted case by case, based on availability, room type, and the nature of your stay.

• A maximum of one dog per reservation unless otherwise approved.

• A refundable security deposit is required for all approved pet stays.

Unapproved pets are not permitted on the property.

Outdoor Requirement

• Dogs must remain outside at all times and are not permitted inside guest rooms or indoor common areas.

• Pets may not be left unattended on the property.

• Dogs must be leashed and under control at all times.

Fees, Deposit & Responsibility

• A pet fee may apply to cover additional cleaning and property maintenance.A refundable security deposit will be collected at check-in and refunded after inspection at checkout, provided no damage or excessive cleaning is required.

• Guests are fully responsible for:

  • Cleaning up after their pet

  • Preventing noise disturbances

  • Any damage caused to the property
